Anthony Buschatzke aka Nino B is a 41 year old artist who is keeping the flame of traditional American borosilicate glassblowing alive through functional fumed old school hammers , originally mastered by our godfather of fume Bob Snodgrass. Bob started blowing glass in 1971 , in 1991 he took on an apprentice named Jason Harris. Jason would grow to become the premier tube maker in the industry we all know as Jerome Baker. Jason was Bob's 7th apprentice . Nino was fortunate enough to learn the techniques and art of the hammer through Jason Harris, where he helped build and open the new Jerome Baker Designs studio in SoHo inside the new one of a kind, THC NYC Museum at 427 Broadway SoHo. Nino currently blows glass here throughout the summer on the weekend and works from his home studio on the south shore of long island.
